What is hilltop steakhouse?

Hilltop Steakhouse was a landmark restaurant located in Saugus, Massachusetts, which opened in 1961. The restaurant was known for its iconic giant neon cactus sign on the roof and its Western-themed decor.

Hilltop Steakhouse was best known for its massive portions of steak and ribs, as well as its salad bar and baked potatoes. The restaurant was a favorite dining destination for locals and tourists alike for over 50 years.

In addition to the restaurant, Hilltop Steakhouse also had a retail meat market where customers could purchase high-quality cuts of meat to cook at home.

The restaurant closed its doors for good in 2013, much to the disappointment of many loyal customers. The iconic cactus sign was dismantled and sold at auction, marking the end of an era for this beloved Massachusetts institution.
